I’m a British Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist. I am a doctor (DPsych) in Counselling Psychology. I am an accredited member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health & Care Professional Council (HCPC ). I am also an accredited BPS supervisor. I am a University lecturer and supervisor as well as an IAPT ( NHS) supervisor.
I have more than 20 years’ experience working as a clinical psychologist and counsellor within the NHS, charities, universities and within my own private practice. My extensive training includes adult Psychotherapy, Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Existential Therapy. So I will tailor my approach, depending on your particular needs using of some or all of the following approaches.
I consider myself to be warm, approachable and understanding. I am broadminded with a non-judgemental approach. My aim is to ensure you quickly feel at ease and to find it easier to open up and talk. Together we may take a look back at your past where any problems may have begun. We will then find a way to help you move forward emotionally and practically and to plan for a better future.
