My name is Matt Hancocks and I have been a practising counsellor and psychotherapist based in Cumbria

You have arrived here, I suspect, because you feel that you have somehow lost your way in life. This can be for many complex and different reasons, but you don't have to be on your own with it. Could you benefit from a place to take some time-out?

It is always difficult to make that first stand engage with a stranger on something so personal refer people on where your needs can be better met elsewhere.

I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.

It is always difficult to make that first step to engage with a stranger on something so personal, so for this reason I offer an exploratory session to get to know each other, as it is important that we should both feel we can work together.

I specialise in issues around sexuality and trauma, as well as the psychology of men. I do however see women as well.
