I am a psychotherapist and group analyst with over 40 years of experience in a wide range of clinical areas. My orientation is psychodynamic, however my past professional careers in psychodrama psychotherapy and art therapy influence my open approach to my work. I have particular interests in people struggling with their bodies, eating problems, relationships and identity. I also work with many professionals in the mental health field who are either involved in further training or questioning their own work. My professional career spans over 40 years of clinical work in the NHS and in private practice, on admission wards, in addiction services, forensic settings and eating disorder units. I have published widely in these areas and taught in a number of countries.
I work therapeutically with individuals and groups and as a psychotherapy supervisor. The majority of my clinical work is on zoom at present.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
