My Approach

I believe therapy is about more than just managing immediate challenges —it is about understanding the whole person and fostering their potential for growth. As a Gestalt psychotherapist, I work holistically, recognising that our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations are deeply interconnected. Together, we will explore how your life experiences, relationships, and environment may be influencing your emotional wellbeing.
In our sessions, I will gently invite you to connect with what is happening in your mind and body. Often, our bodies carry unspoken feelings or insights that can help us better understand ourselves. This embodied approach allows you to access a deeper sense of self-awareness and fosters lasting change.
You do not need to know exactly where to begin—that’s what we will work on together. Therapy is a space where all your experiences are welcome, whether they feel clear or difficult to express. We will move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you, starting wherever you are right now.

About Me

Hello! My name is Marta Carbajo Gutiérrez, and I am a compassionate and experienced Gestalt psychotherapist dedicated to supporting individuals, intimate partners and groups through life’s challenges. Whether you are seeking therapy for personal growth, relationship issues, or simply need a safe space to explore your emotions, I am here to listen, guide, and walk alongside you. You do not need to have everything figured out—together, we will explore your unique path at your own pace.

My priority is to provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental environment where you can feel truly seen and heard. I take a holistic approach, integrating mind, body, and emotions to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and foster meaningful change. Every session is tailored to your specific needs, offering you a space to connect with what matters most.

In addition to my extensive therapeutic experience, I offer sessions in English, Spanish, and Italian, appreciating how language and culture shape who we are. If you are curious about therapy or want to learn more, visit my website at [kintsugipsychotherapypractice.com](http://kintsugipsychotherapypractice.com) and book a call to discuss your needs. Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have a personal and professional interest in supporting clients with neurodiverse experiences, including ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia. My approach is to explore how neurodiversity shapes not only how you move through the world but also how you relate to others and yourself. Therapy can help in developing strategies tailored to your unique strengths and challenges.
I work with couples and intimate partners from diverse backgrounds and identities, focusing on improving communication, fostering deeper understanding, and rebuilding trust. Whether you’re navigating a specific conflict or simply want to strengthen your connection, I offer short-term therapy packages of 6, 9, or 12 sessions designed to help you work through challenges and develop a healthier relationship.
Having lived across cultures and being multilingual, I appreciate how culture shapes our identity and influences how we relate to ourselves and the world. I understand the complexities of navigating a cultural divide, whether it’s living in a different country, feeling caught between cultures or even like you do not belong anywhere. My sessions provide a space where clients can explore these issues in the language that feels most authentic to them—English, Spanish, or Italian.
I believe that relationships are at the core of personal growth and healing. We develop our sense of self through interactions with others, and as such, our relationships can deeply affect how we experience the world. In my practice, I not only support clients explore their external relationships but also focus on the therapeutic relationship we build together. This offers a unique opportunity to explore patterns, emotions, and dynamics in a safe, supportive environment.
