Currently working via ZOOM, I am a psychotherapist and counsellor with consulting rooms in Highgate in north London and Harley Street in central London. My approach is integrative. This means that I work with a wide range of psychotherapeutic theories. Each provides its own valuable perspective and is enhanced when carefully integrated with another. The term ‘integrative’ also refers to the process of integrating the personality, taking disowned aspects of the self and bringing them into awareness, therefore reducing the need for self-defeating defence mechanisms and behaviour. Besides my private practice, my experience in psychotherapy and counselling includes working for the NHS (Bexleyheath Community Mental Health Service and Camden Psychological Therapy Services [the combined psychodynamic psychotherapy departments of the Royal Free Hospital and University College Hospital] based in Kings Cross), the Family Welfare Association in Islington and Marie Curie Hospice in Hampstead.
