My Approach

I believe that every family has the capacity to grow and heal when given the right support. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your specific needs. I work from a strengths-based perspective, meaning I focus on what’s working well in your family and build on those positives to address areas of concern.

In our sessions, I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where all family members feel heard and respected. We’ll work together to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen your connections, helping you to navigate challenges with greater confidence and understanding.

What to expect:
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about your family’s history, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. From there, we’ll work together to create a plan that meets your family’s unique needs and goals.

Therapy is a journey, and I’m here to guide and support you throughout the process. Sessions are typically 60 minutes long, and we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for everyone involved.

About Me

I am a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience in the field of mental health. Currently, I serve as the Lead Family Therapist for an NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, while also maintaining a private practice.

Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience working with children, young people, and their families, addressing a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. In addition, I provide therapeutic support to adults and couples through my private practice, helping them navigate complex life issues and fostering healthier relationships.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Couples therapy offers a compassionate and supportive space for you and your partner to navigate the challenges that arise in your relationship. Whether you’re facing communication difficulties, conflicts, life transitions, or simply want to deepen your connection, I’m here to help you explore your relationship in a safe and non-judgmental environment. In our sessions, we’ll work together to understand each other’s perspectives, identify patterns that may be causing tension, and develop tools to strengthen your bond. My approach is collaborative, meaning we’ll focus on your unique needs and goals as a couple, finding ways to build a healthier, more fulfilling relationship.
Family life can be both rewarding and challenging, and sometimes we all need a little extra support to navigate difficult times. Family therapy is a safe and supportive space where we can work together to strengthen your relationships, improve communication, and address any issues that may be causing stress or conflict. In our sessions, everyone’s voice is valued. My role is to guide the conversation, ensuring that each family member has the opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings. We’ll explore what’s working well in your family and where things might need a little more attention.
Individual systemic psychotherapy offers a unique approach to personal growth and healing by considering the broader context of your relationships and environment. In our sessions, we will explore not only your thoughts and emotions but also how your interactions with others and your surroundings influence your well-being. This holistic approach allows us to uncover patterns and dynamics that may be affecting your life, helping you to develop new perspectives and healthier ways of relating to yourself and those around you.
