I believe that every family has the capacity to grow and heal when given the right support. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your specific needs. I work from a strengths-based perspective, meaning I focus on what’s working well in your family and build on those positives to address areas of concern.
In our sessions, I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where all family members feel heard and respected. We’ll work together to enhance communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen your connections, helping you to navigate challenges with greater confidence and understanding.
What to expect:
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know each other. I’ll ask about your family’s history, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. From there, we’ll work together to create a plan that meets your family’s unique needs and goals.
Therapy is a journey, and I’m here to guide and support you throughout the process. Sessions are typically 60 minutes long, and we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for everyone involved.
I am a Family and Systemic Psychotherapist with over 20 years of clinical experience in the field of mental health. Currently, I serve as the Lead Family Therapist for an NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, while also maintaining a private practice. My academic journey commenced with a degree Psychology from the University of Kent in Canterbury, followed by a Master's degree in Mental Health from King's College London. During this period, I also had the privilege of completing a therapeutic placement in Psychodynamic therapy at Guy's Hospital, where I gained invaluable therapeutic experience. Later, I pursued my clinical training in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy at the Institute of Family Therapy in London, further deepening my expertise in working with complex relational dynamics.
Throughout my career, I have gained extensive experience working with children, young people, and their families, addressing a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. This has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of the unique dynamics within family systems and the impact of early experiences on emotional well-being. In addition, I have a wealth of experience supporting adults and couples therapeutically through my private practice, helping them navigate complex personal issues and relational struggles. My diverse background enables me to offer a compassionate, tailored approach to each individual and relationship, fostering lasting growth and healing.
Feel free to reach out for more information or to schedule a consultation.
Please note that I primarily work online currently, offering sessions on zoom.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
