My Approach

Individual psychotherapy weekly in person or online. I know it’s not easy to approach a psychotherapist for the first time. Speaking with a stranger can feel daunting initially, though once you get through those initial and understandable anxieties you can be surprised how helpful it can be talking with someone you have no prior contact with. (This is what my previous clients report).

About Me

I am an experienced psychotherapist with many years experience in working in the NHS and in the private sector. I have experience in working with people from a wide variety of personal and professional backgrounds. Many people seek psychotherapy when they are experiencing depression and/or anxiety as well as problems in their relationships. Other people might have suffered various traumas in their life and i have had specific training in EMDR to help people who have been exposed to traumatic events. I have also worked with people within organisations who have suffered with stress and anxiety as well as professional burn out.

I work with

  • Companies
  • Couples
  • Groups
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have worked in specialist addiction services for a number of years.
I am trained in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy for treating certain types or depression as well as working with people who suffer with depression in other ways.
Many of the people I work with have a poor sense of self and struggle with identity. This can impact on many sewed of their life, including work and relationships.
Many of the people I work with struggle with interpersonal relationships with partners, family, friends as well as with work colleagues.
I am trained in EMDR to treat trauma, this is also an effective treatment for anxiety and phobias.
