I am an integrative psychotherapist. I was a lap registered general nurse until 2021. I am a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher. I have worked extensively with asylum seekers and refugees and victims of domestic abuse / gender and sexuality based violence (both in the uk and overseas) for the past twenty years, both as a
Nurse and a
Psychotherapist. I have a particular interest in complex trauma and the relationship between the mind and the body - particularly when one system or the other is under strain. I also worked in palliative care for a number of years. I believe that trauma and loss are inextricably linked and that the myriad ways in which trauma and loss can be processed are influenced very strongly by our early life experiences and relationships. I have great respect for the individual healing potential within each of us and that a healing potential may be ignited by meaningful interpersonal relationships. I consider it a privilege to accompany people on a journey towards their own healing and integration.
