My Approach

As an Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, I am able to offer children and young people a safe space to acknowledge, experience and process their feelings, alongside a reliable adult, in confidence, using the arts as a central tool for self-expression. These feelings, may at times, seem unmanageable and overwhelming, leaving children raging or confused, distressed, anxious or frightened. Feelings may present in huge angry outburst, depressive or shut down behaviours or self-harming activities. Evidence suggests that supporting children and young people therapeutically at an early age, in experiencing and making sense of a range of feelings, help nurture the development of physical health, mental health, resilience and well-being. In my work, I fostering a playful, accepting and empathic approach, enabling the child to experience all parts of themselves with in the therapeutic relationship, in a safe and caring environment.

About Me

I am an Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist . I offer 50 minute one-to-one long and short-term psychotherapy for children and young people (CYP) aged 4-17yrs and their families. Fee’s are £65.00 a session (50 minutes) . I use talking therapy and the arts (where appropriate) to explore CYP’s emotional needs and begin a process of thinking to help make sense of the troubles, both internal and external, that have triggered the family to seek support. We explore issues arising for the family as a whole as well as the difficulties of individual that is accessing therapy , helping to highlight dynamics that may be affecting or blocking the process of healthy change. I have worked in infant, primary and secondary school's, for The Greenhouse, (Bristol) and currently work at The Bridge Foundation (Bristol). I also work in Private Practice from my clinic in Easton (Bristol) .
