My approach is grounded in existential psychotherapy, which focuses on helping you explore your experiences, emotions, relationships and ways of being in the world more deeply. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or quick solutions, therapy offers an opportunity to reflect on what may lie beneath patterns of distress, uncertainty or emotional difficulty.
I work collaboratively, recognising that each person’s experience is unique. Together, we can think about the challenges you are facing, how your past may be influencing the present, and what feels meaningful or important in your life now. Through this process, therapy can help bring greater clarity, self-understanding and emotional resilience.
My way of working is relational, trauma-informed and compassionate. I aim to provide a space where you can feel safe enough to think honestly about yourself and your experiences, including aspects that may feel difficult, confusing or painful.
I offer both short-term focused work and longer-term psychotherapy, depending on your needs and what you would like from therapy.
I am a UKCP-accredited psychotherapist with over 15 years’ experience working in private practice, the NHS, charities, schools and universities. Alongside my private practice, I have held senior clinical roles within mental health and trauma services, supporting people experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
People often come to therapy when they are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low, stuck or disconnected from themselves or others. Sometimes there is a specific issue bringing you to therapy; at other times it may be harder to put into words. I offer a calm, thoughtful and confidential space where we can begin to explore what is happening for you, without judgement or pressure.
I work with adults from diverse backgrounds and have extensive experience supporting people with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, stress, loss and identity-related challenges. My experience also includes working with people who have experienced abuse, difficult family relationships, displacement, and complex emotional difficulties.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting. My aim is to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel listened to, respected and able to speak openly about your experience at a pace that feels manageable for you.
I practise in Islington, close to Angel and Highbury & Islington stations, and offer both short-term and open-ended therapy.
