About Me

I am an accredited psychotherapist, trauma specialist and EMDR practitioner with over 25 years' experience supporting adults experiencing trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relationship difficulties and other complex emotional challenges.

I spent almost a decade working at The Priory, where I specialised in trauma, addiction and eating disorders before establishing my own private practice. Alongside my clinical work, I am now an international speaker, trainer, and founder of The Voyage®, an integrative trauma-healing approach that combines contemporary neuroscience with compassionate, evidence-informed practice.

My work is grounded in the understanding that many emotional and psychological difficulties are rooted in unresolved trauma, chronic stress and nervous system dysregulation. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms, I work collaboratively with clients to understand the deeper patterns that may be keeping them stuck, helping them develop greater safety, regulation and resilience.

I integrate EMDR, Attachment-Focused EMDR, somatic approaches, mindfulness, breathwork and other evidence-informed therapeutic approaches according to each client's individual needs. My style is warm, collaborative and tailored, recognising that every person's story and path to healing is unique.

I now work primarily online, with occasional in-person intensive therapy where appropriate.

If you would like to discuss whether we might be a good fit to work together, please feel free to get in touch.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Having worked for almost a decade at The Priory, I have extensive experience supporting people affected by alcohol, drugs and behavioural addictions. I work with the underlying trauma that often drives addictive patterns rather than focusing solely on the addiction itself.
I have many years' experience working with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating and emotional eating. My work explores the relationship between trauma, attachment, shame and the body, supporting lasting recovery rather than symptom management alone.
I am an EMDR practitioner and also incorporate Attachment-Focused EMDR where appropriate. EMDR can be an effective treatment for trauma, anxiety, phobias, grief and many other difficulties, always adapted to the individual rather than delivered as a one-size-fits-all approach.
I work with adults who have experienced childhood or adult sexual abuse, helping clients process traumatic memories safely and at their own pace. Therapy is always collaborative, compassionate and grounded in creating a sense of safety before addressing traumatic experiences.
I specialise in helping adults recover from the effects of developmental, relational and single-event trauma. My approach combines nervous system regulation, attachment-informed therapy and EMDR to help clients move beyond survival and reconnect with themselves.
