I am an experienced psychotherapist with over 15 years of frontline experience working for CAMHS and Specialist Mental Health Services, as well as in the private sector. I use creative approaches to work with individuals, families and couples to help them reflect on and create changes or to process difficult events that may have impacted on the way they themselves and their relationships are operating.
I am able to work with a broad range of presenting difficulties but specialise in the following areas:
- working with parents (adopted/step/grandparents/foster carers) who are struggling to find ways to connect, challenge or repair relationships with their children at any stage of life. I have additional training in trauma, attachment-based family therapy (ABFT) and Non-violent Resistance (NVR) and use these lenses in much of the work I do.
- working with couples who are struggling with their relationship, offering a space for them to find a way back to each other, or support with a decision to separate with respect.
- working with individuals or families around suicidality and self harming, anxiety, depression, trauma
I also work closely with companies/individuals in professional contexts, offering organisational consultancy and am an accredited systemic supervisor who has taken a number of trainees to qualification, as well as offering supervision of private practice.
