My approach is active (questions/conversation, story telling, doing things, and discussion) and collaborative (we'll work together to help you find your way through the complexities you're living with). I am a family therapist, and work with individuals, couples and families. You can read more about my approach on my website:

I am a qualified systemic psychotherapist/family therapist. This means I am a member of the UKCP College for Family, Couple and Systemic Therapy, and am considered to be a highly trained therapist.
I'm also an active research psychologist, and am a professor at the University of Stirling.
I specialise in therapy with individuals, couples and families who are affected by serious ill health, including cancer, dementia, palliative care and bereavement.
I am currently only offering online therapy. This is via zoom so you can join from where it is convenient to you.

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
