I work with you in the present moment, using a relational and embodied approach grounded in my training in Gestalt psychotherapy. This approach enables the exploration of your current challenges with compassionate support and constructive dialogue.
My goal is to help you expand your choices and break free from patterns and behaviours that may limit your ability to live a more fulfilling and creative life.
As a trained trauma therapist and certified Brainspotting practitioner, utilising techniques developed by David Grand. My additional trauma-focused training includes Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM) and Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) with Dr Frank Corrigan.
Trauma work is carefully paced to meet you where you are, fostering resilience and supporting the gradual release of trauma in a safe and supportive way.
The duration of therapy will be decided collaboratively based on your needs. For some, brief counselling may be sufficient, while for others—particularly when addressing trauma or long-term difficulties—longer-term psychotherapy may be more appropriate. Together, we will determine the best approach for you.
Appointments are typically held weekly.
Originally from South Africa, I have called the UK home for the past 23 years. I now live in Richmond, London, having recently relocated from the Scottish Borders.
My lifelong journey of seeking meaning and understanding has led me to explore diverse areas of study, including psychology, astrology, and spirituality. These interests have taken me on vision quests in the Sahara Desert, Wales, and California, where I connected deeply with nature-based practices and developed a profound appreciation for the wisdom it offers.
I am committed to continuously expanding my knowledge and nurturing my creative passions, which include photography and herbalism. These pursuits enrich my perspective and inspire my therapeutic work.
I believe that life is a journey, with each stage offering unique challenges and opportunities for growth. My personal experiences, as well as my professional training, have profoundly shaped my approach to therapy. I strive to bring authenticity, empathy, and personal insight to the clients I have the privilege of working with.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
