I am a relational, integrative psychotherapist which means that I integrate different therapeutic concepts and theoretical ideas when working with clients: I do not believe in a generic approach to psychological therapy, as we are all unique. I aim to develop a deep understanding of each client I work with, to tailor the best techniques to your needs and the therapeutic work. I draw primarily from psychodynamic, attachment, trauma-focused, existential and cognitive-behavioural theories, alongside interpersonal neuroscience research, holding the person-centred values of compassion, empathy, respect and care.
I offer both long-term and short-term therapy. We would meet for an initial meeting and discuss what you are looking for. If we agree to continue our work together, we will book a set of sessions. These sessions would be weekly and last for 50 minutes.
I am an integrative psychotherapist and Chartered Counselling Psychologist, with a doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute. I work in a relational way with adults and young people on issues like addiction, relationships, bereavement, anxiety, depression, stress. I have experience in the NHS, with various mental health charities, a substance abuse service in a London hospital, the student counselling service of a London university and in a London school. I also work as a lecturer and tutor on the DCPsych programme at Metanoia. When working with clients, my aim is to provide an open, caring environment to develop our therapeutic relationship and to understand the problem, its impact and the possibility of change.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
