Psychoanalytic . This means that the problems you bring into psychotherapy are seen within the context of your whole life, relationships, and experiences, including your earliest ones, in childhood. People come into psychotherapy for a variety of reasons including: anxiety; depression; emotional and relationship difficulties; family problems and conflicts; and childhood trauma. Not everyone knows what is bothering them, however. It is possible to feel confused and unhappy, without being clear why. People sometimes struggle to make sense of an experience, or feel their life lacks meaning.
