I have trained at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE) in Integrative/Transpersonal Psychotherapy.
Integrative means that I offer a variety of approaches and can tailor your therapy to what works best for you. Some of these approaches are Psychodynamic, Person-centred, Gestalt, Existential, Creative Imagination, CBT. I combine traditional therapy with modern neuroscience research findings.
Transpersonal means spiritual perspective, looking beyond your personality, at your soul, and how it influences your behaviour and choices.
I also work in a trauma-informed way. This matters if you have experienced abuse or neglect in childhood and now live with the consequences of that, or had traumatic experiences later in life.
We can work with a particular issue for 8-10 counselling sessions. Longer exploration is an option to go deeper into your material and make better sense of your life experiences. Of course this commitment is not cheap, but it’s an investment in yourself.
I see clients at CCPE in Paddington W2 6NE, and at Cape in Ealing W5 2XP (near Ealing Abbey, 15 min walk from the tube station). Both venues are wheelchair-accessible.
I offer a free initial session (30 minutes), to establish if we can work together.
I am 56 years old. My first degree is in Biology, I started my professional life as a research scientist. Originally from Ukraine, I have lived in London for the past 20 years. I speak Ukrainian and Russian.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
