My Approach

Psychodynamic psychotherapy is a collaborative process which takes place in a professional, safe, and confidential setting. Rather than offering advice or reassurance in the way that perhaps a partner, friend, or family member might do, we would work together to help you think about yourself and relationships differently. My approach is empathic and relational, always respecting the individual and the therapeutic relationship. This approach can be helpful to those who wish to develop greater self-awareness and a better understanding of how they think and feel, not only towards themselves but also towards other people.

About Me

I am an accredited, professionally registered, psychodynamic psychotherapist. I have experience as a clinician working within an NHS Specialist Psychotherapy Service and in private practice. I initially trained at WPF Therapy, one of the leading academic and clinical institutions for psychotherapy in the UK, and additionally hold an MA in Psychodynamic Theory and Practice.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I am particularly interested in the area of early relational trauma and the implications this has for the capacity to mentalize in psychotherapy.
