My Approach

Systemic and Family Psychotherapy

About Me

I have been working as a Systemic and family psychotherapist for the past 10 years as fully qualified professional. I have worked with children and adolescent and their families for over 20 years. I’m Polish and emigrated to UK in 2005 after graduation from Clinical Psychology training in Poland. I have worked in residential care settings, social care and mental health NHS services (community and inpatient) I’m passionate about supporting families and family memebers with overcoming unexpected difficulties that we run into in our life cycles.
I’m a mother of two boys and a wife
I work within NHS services as well as I’m visiting lecturer and marker on top professional Systemic therapy trainings in UK. I run very small private practice, taking on small amount of clients to work short or long term either via online platforms and face to face.

I work with

  • Companies
  • Couples
  • Families
  • Groups
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I recognise that current social media promotes self diagnosis with this disorder and there is a dramatic increase with adults being diagnosed with ADHD. I have a strong neuropsychological/ scientific interest in exploring the meaning of the symptoms as well as holistic approach to understanding the context this condition manifests and can be managed successfully.
I’m a mother of a child formally diagnosed with ASC and I hold many perspectives and professional and personal evidence based practices which help to manage life with this developmental condition
I have been working with children, adolescent and young adults and families affected by eating disorders. Those include conditions that relate to neurodiversity such as ASC and ADHD. Different approaches and models are used and adjusted to the needs presented. Eating disorders affect individual mentally/ emotionally and physically but they often affect careers/ parents and siblings equally and it’s important the whole family is held in mind if not supported directly when working with ED. I’m passionate about helping people overcome those illnesses which can often have a dramatic effect if gone untreated.
I have over 20 years experience of working with parents who often feel very disempowered in their roles as influencers for their children. I use principles of non violent resistance models to help parents regain influence and presence in children’s life which restores relationships and harmony for family life
I’m Systemic supervisor and I’m interested in supporting professional development of my supervises despite the modality they work within. Systemic approaches can prove to be effective within a whole range of professional areas.
