The therapeutic alliance between you and your therapist will be critical, so choose your therapist wisely, be sure you connect well with your choice – all good therapists will offer a chemistry call or short session to help you decide.
For me, I critically ask for your honesty, bravery and consistent attendance. In return I promise to meet you emotionally where you are, offer thoughtful interventions, unconditional kindness and an ambition to support you in becoming conscious of what has happened and how you can heal - improving the elements that bring you to therapy in the first place.
You can read some client testimonials on my website at Psyched.com but in the main, people find me to be a warm, tender, empathic therapist, who will venture gently but with intent into the dark corners that so often unsettle our lives. Together we then find new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving that positively impact your whole self, liberating you from that which pains you.
For those in the public eye, I will sign NDA's on request but absolute confidentiality is the underlying keystone of my work with each and every client.
It all starts with a conversation.
I am a fully qualified and accredited Integrative Psychotherapist, recognised by both the UKCP and BACP our industry governing bodies and am fully DBS checked and approved to work with both adults and children. I have lived in both London and New York over the last decade.
I completed my initial Psychotherapy studies at Regents University, then undertook a further 4 years of training and qualification in Psychotherapy and Counselling at CCPE in London with further studies in Trauma and Complex Trauma. I work with individuals with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, sexual, physical and psychological abuse, inner child healing, trauma, eating disorders, hoarding, family constellation and enmeshment issues.
For leaders and corporate boards I offer individual and group Performance and Leadership psychology and coaching, encompassing board dynamics, board performance and cultural politics, given my previous 25 years in the corporate media world, advising hundreds of the top TNT companies on Human Capital in both NYC and London.
Outside of my clinical practice I am a regular writer, contributor and commentator on topics around psychotherapy, mental health, human talent and performance. Later in 2024 I will be publishing a non-fiction book focussed on the effects and recovery from psychological and narcissistic abuse.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
