I am a counsellor and psychotherapist with a well-established practice in central London. For over 20 years I have worked with people with a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties which impair their ability to enjoy life. I offer both time-limited and open-ended therapy and I am happy to review progress with my clients at any time. I am experienced in working with depression and anxiety, trauma, obsessive compulsive behaviours, eating disorders, pregnancy and post-natal depression, relationship difficulties and issues relating to sexuality and gender, amongst other issues. My therapeutic approach is psychodynamic which means that in trying to understand my clients' current difficulties I may enquire about their past experiences. The psychodynamic approach takes the view that our emotional experience in the past, as far back as childhood, can shape the way we live, work and relate in the present. My approach is not to advise or give ready-made solutions but to foster a warm and robust working relationship in which my client feels heard and feels they are receiving something which is helpful to them.
