My Approach

You may be feeling anxious or overwhelmed. Perhaps you are disillusioned with life in general or your relationships, or just tired of being you. You might be holding on to negative self-beliefs, repeating the same old patterns or ways of handling things that you may have outgrown?

You might be needing support while you are going through a tough life transition or challenging life threatening illness, like cancer?
You may be faced with impossible choices or experiencing desperate loss. Clients find me empathic, warm and easy to open up to.

My work background is in Motivational Teaching, Wellbeing & TV Journalism. I work holistically with a trauma focus, listening to you and your intricate process.

I am experienced at working with both men, women from varied social backgrounds with a broad variety of issues.
I strongly believe that we all have the potential for growth - whatever our experience. I am committed to facilitating that growth, collaboratively journeying alongside you. Starting a therapeutic relationship takes courage and commitment and can be daunting.

However, it will be life-changing. I really look forward to finding your potential with you..

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I am interested in how you maintain a positive mindset during your conversation with cancer. Also, how therapy can help navigate the power imbalance of the medical model you might be engaging with for treatment. I promote a holistic approach to surviving the fear and anxiety which understandably comes with a diagnosis and poor prognosis. I will support you towards thriving..
As a trauma focussed psychotherapist - I am continually updating my Trauma training with special interest in working with fragmented parts of self, dissociation and using the body to support our wellbeing and a more neutral Autonomic Nervous System. IFS (Internal Family Systems) & Poly vagal Theory are of special interests.
