In my work, I offer a relational approach which is based on the understanding of the complexity of human interactions and their conscious and unconscious motivations. I work with my patients to explore how these translate into everyday life embedded in the wider social context. Psychotherapy is like peeling an onion, going forward with the process one discovers different layers of the innermost experience. Which is a challenging, but also a fascinating journey. As the basis of the psychodynamic method is an assumption that there are always many more meanings, real or imaginary, then we can possibly and consciously think of. Therefore, the choices we make whether in a partner or a job, are made with only a very partial and dim awareness of their significance to us. By exploring the depths of our minds, we learn how beautiful and extraordinary we are as humans.
I completed MA diploma in General Psychology at SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities. I am a candidate member in the Institute of Group Analysis “Rasztów”, where I completed the training programme preparing for certification as a group analyst. Additionally, I have completed the introductory training in Couples Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at Tavistock Relationships and Mentalisation Based Treatment for Adolescents in Anna Freud Institute (MBT)., as well as the WPF Therapy training in Individual Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in London. I have been working as a psychotherapist for over 7 years.
I work in the psychodynamic framework. This means that during sessions we concentrate on studying the inner-world and try to understand your difficult and often conflicting feelings. In such a process, by exploring both conscious and unconscious motives of behaviour and emotional states, the goal is to obtain peace of mind and clarity.
I am very happy to discuss client needs with an initial telephone conversation or book an initial assessment to discuss treatment options.
