UKCP has moved to York House, 221 Pentonville Road, London N1 9UZ. We are updating the address listed in all our documents, please bear with us as we make these changes.
I have been a qualified social worker working within Child Protection for 18 years as well as being a qualified family and systemic psychotherapist so I have extensive experience of working with children in a variety of contexts and situations. I am keen to promote anti oppressive and anti discriminatory practice and focus on power and difference within my practice. I consider that problems are relational and therefore solutions are relational. I see problems as occurring between people/institutions rather that in people and so adopt a respectful, appreciative and curious stance
I am a qualified Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, who works with individuals, couples and families.
I have expertise in working with families with children with behavioural/emotional issues and children who have experienced trauma, grief and loss.
I have extensive experience working within statutory Children’s Services, providing therapy for families with complex psycho-social needs. I have worked for 15 years in the statutory sector, initially as a social worker and more recently as a family therapist. I have also worked In a Child Sexual Abuse team based within a CAMHS (Child Mental Health) setting.
I am currently training to become a Systemic Supervisor.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
