I am a qualified Counsellor, a Certified Transactional Analyst, an Embodied Relational Therapist, a Wild Therapist, and UKCP Registered Psychotherapist. I have a private clinical practice in Kilndown (West Kent), and have been a Therapist since 2000. The clients in my practice range in age from adolescents to the elderly, and are from a mix of social and ethnic backgrounds, genders and sexual orientation.
My approach to Therapy is Integrative, in that my choice of approach with each client will depend on my assessment of their individual needs at that time. I make use of Transactional Analysis - TA - models and concepts, and also inform my practice through my knowledge and experience of Gestalt, Transpersonal, CBT, Relational, and Body Psychotherapy concepts.
I have experience of working with clients across most areas of difficulty, including such issues as stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, PTSD, phobias, low self esteem, relationship issues, anger management, eating disorders, sexual abuse, childhood issues, fragile sense of self.
As a member of UKATA, and through registration with the UKCP, I am bound to adhere to the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct of both these Organisations.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
