I'm a registered systemic psychotherapist with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy - (UKCP Member number: 2011164090) and I am also a registered mental health nurse (RMN) specialising in child and adolescent mental health and parental mental health.
I have worked with individuals, couples and families with a range of presenting problems including depression, self harm, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, OCD, eating disorders, ADHD and substance / alcohol misuse. Throughout the therapy we will talk about relationships, life events (past and present), feelings, emotions, ways of thinking and patterns of behaviour. I will draw upon a range of ideas within the systemic psychotherapy field to ensure your presenting problem(s) are being addressed in the most effective way for difference/ understanding to occur. I have extensive experience of working with people who want to explore their identity relating to their gender and their sexuality. I have worked with couples and families before and after separation, step family joining, and where their has been affairs.
I have completed the systemic supervision course at the Institute of Family Therapy and can offer systemic consultation and supervision. I am also a trainer and tutor in systemic practice for multiple contexts including social care and health services. Thank you for reading.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
