I am a relational, person-centred psychotherapist with experience in existential, psychodynamic, gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), dialogical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), object relations and attachment approaches. However, when I work with a client, I aim to work together to build a safe, supportive and healing relationship, leaving theories and models at the door to meet you human to human.
I have worked with a broad range of clients who are all unique individuals, and I welcome everyone, no matter who you are or your experiences. I am trained and experienced in working with people with a range of mental health diagnosis’, complex trauma, male and female survivors of abuse, addictions, neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+, sexual diversity (including kink inclusivity), self-harm and suicidal ideation. I value a trauma-informed approach to my work to explore life experiences and the impact these have on people's mental health.
Please contact me at YourMindPsychotherapy@gmail.com if you would like to arrange an introductory session to see whether you would like to work with me.
I am Jo. I am an accredited and experienced integrative psychotherapist and counsellor (SCoPEd Band C). Inclusivity and individuality are key aspects of my work as I recognise that everyone is a unique individual who has been on a journey and deserves to be heard.
I offer a safe and confidential space where I will listen to you with warm compassion, curiosity and kindness as we explore your experiences at your own pace.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
