It is my belief that psychotherapy is not about seeking perfection, but is a way towards acceptance of the whole self and all of the emotions — good, bad or indifferent — and creating a space where you can think about and feel all of it.
My work is trauma-informed and I am experienced in helping with a wide array of issues that can be difficult to tackle alone. These include loss, grief, stress, anxiety, depression, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, addiction, racism and white fragility, spiritual or existential crisis, and soulful longings.
Your therapy will be unique to you, emerging through the relationship we form together. It will be founded on a soulful, body-aware, and creative approach in which you are invited to explore the influence of your past, the realities of your present, and the significance of those aspects of life that exist beyond the everyday and purely rational.
My goal is to provide you with high-quality, clinically informed therapeutic support that feels both grounded and meaningful. Openness, integrity, beauty, and tolerance are important principles that guide my work.
While the focus is always on you and your story, I also recognise that therapy exists within a larger social, ecological, and political context, which is essential to hold in mind. I aim to honour both your inner psychological landscape and the reality of your external world, with all of its challenges.
I am an experienced Psychotherapist, welcoming clients with a wide range of presenting issues. Warm, approachable and open-minded, I bring to my practice genuine curiosity about people and their problems and a desire to help clients grow in self-awareness and adaptability.
I work in private practice at New Road Psychotherapy Centre, Brighton and Online. I am also a member of the training team at Re-Vision, a highly regarded centre in London where the emphasis is on psychotherapy with a Soulful perspective. I practice within the UKCP Code of Ethics and I am committed to providing therapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
