My Approach

Psychotherapy with a Soulful Perspective

We live in strange and troubling times; a Climate emergency and social unease. Increasingly the uncertainty inherent to life is in sharp focus. A time of paradox and change. Interconnectivity demands us to pay attention. In these troubled times we may be called upon to delve deeper into our own psychological and emotional patterns emerging from childhood experiences and from present relationships.

Our individual trauma reflects the world trauma and vice versa.

Psychotherapy offers a space to explore your place in our ever changing environment. Perhaps, if you are looking at this, then you have identified a need for something in your world to shift or for you to shift in relation to the world. Maybe you feel compelled to understand yourself at an even deeper level.

Working integratively & transpersonally, I aim to place a soulful authentic way of being at the core of long term psychological change. This means that your therapy will be an interactive process. I encourage you to come with all your struggles and challenges and invite you to enter into the maelstrom of emotional relating.

Sessions can be carried out in the room and/or on zoom.

"Therapy is...a process that goes on intermittently in our individual soul-searching, our attempts at understanding our complexities, the critical attacks, prescriptions and encouragements we give ourselves..." James Hillman

With 20 years of clinical experience I offer brief and long term psychotherapy around a range of issues, including child abuse, trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, existential and spiritual crises, stress and relationship struggles and breakdowns & adolescent therapy.

I have a particular interest and experience in working with attachment patterns and especially with complex trauma (Complex-PTSD & Dissociative Identity Disorder).

About Me

I have an interest in philosophy and its application to psychotherapy. I take a keen interest in current affairs and accepts that to be an individual in today's world necessarily involves acceptance of our connection with the cultural and political sphere. You cannot fall out of the universe! I also accept that for the world to heal each individual needs to take responsibility for their place in it.
