I work in an Integrative, relational way and integrate the methods of therapy I feel would be most beneficial for my client within a suitable therapeutic framework. The quality of the therapeutic relationship I offer my clients is important to me. I am committed to continually exploring ways to improve my service to clients through study and research. I have an MA in Counselling & Psychotherapy Practice and a BSc(Hons) Degree in Integrative Counselling. I also have a Diploma in Supervision of Individuals and Groups. I also have a Certificate in Couple & Relationship Therapy Accredited by COSRT at Level 5. I have undertaken specialist training to work with clients via on-line platforms (Zoom and 'phone), if appropriate. ‘This member has completed UKCP Covid-19 Online Working Guidance’
My approach centres around the use of person-centred, psychodynamic and existentialist theories; I am not a CBT therapist, although I do incorporate some CBT methods into the work, where useful.
My qualifications include:
MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
BSc (Hons) Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counselling
Diploma in Integrative Supervision of Individuals and Groups. (Level 7 - Distinction)
Certificate in Couple & Relationship Therapy Accredited by COSRT at Level 5
I also conduct therapy for several Employment Assistance Programmes, a specialist college, and an health trust, as well as for private clients. I also conduct Supervision sessions for therapists, specialist groups, and trainees
It is important to me that I offer the best I can to all of my clients.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
