I am a qualified Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Professional Member of The Association for Group and Individual Psychotherapy (AGIP) and Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis (CPJA). I have experience of working both in an NHS setting and in private practice.
In private practice I welcome those who might want to work through a specific problem as well as those who are seeking longer-term therapy. I would be happy to discuss these options with you and take it from there.
Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy aims to help you gain a better understanding of the underlying dynamics that underpin emotional, psychological and interpersonal problems. These dynamics are often hidden and can subtly motivate thoughts and patterns of behaviour that can cause difficulties in your relationships with others, as well as in your own self-perception.
Each person is different and I will tailor my approach accordingly. I have over 14 years experience of working with individuals and families on a professional basis, both in the public, voluntary and private sector. I am experienced and interested in working with people from a variety of backgrounds and including different ethnic and cultural heritages. I would be happy to answer any questions when you get in touch.
