Hi, my name is Jan. What’s on your mind? Whatever your problem, my approach is to provide you with a safe and calm space, offering time for you to talk through what is troubling you in a confidential environment.
Sometimes life seems stressful, dissatisfying or lonely. All kinds of situations can lead to us getting stuck with some difficult feelings. I provide a safe, calm space for you to explore how you have reached where you are now and explore the changes you are hoping to make. Understanding how life experiences have formed who we are gives us insight into how we have become stressed, stuck or dissatisfied. This insight also helps us to understand what we need to change to feel better.
I offer short term or long term counselling, you decide what you need.
I have worked with many different clients since 2013 dealing with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, eating disorders, relationship issues, bereavement, abuse, trauma and personality conditions.
I am an integrative counsellor. This means that I have been trained in several different therapeutic techniques. These include person centred, psychodynamic, attachment, gestalt, CBT, mindfulness, dealing with abuse and trauma through somatic experiencing.
I graduated from Middlesex University in 2015 while training with Matrix Training and I am a fully accredited UKCP counsellor. I am a registered member of BACP.
