I am a family and systemic psychotherapist working independently in Central Scotland. I am also a family law solicitor. My particular interest is how families and children are affected by separation. My research has been about that. I have a business called "If … Therapy" with my sister who is a hypnotherapist. We work separately but often find similarities in the ways we work and the problems our clients bring to us. We have therapy rooms in Airdrie, Auchterarder, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Milngavie, Perth and Stirling, and we hope to expand the business to offer therapy in Aberdeen and the Borders. My qualifications are BSc (Hons) Behavioural Sciences, LLB and DipLP (legal qualifications) and MSc Family Therapy from Strathclyde University. I worked with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) during the last two years of my Family Therapy Masters from 2016 to 2018. I am a member of the Association of Family Therapists (AFT) and of the UK Council of Psychotherapists (UKCP). I remain a graduate member of the British Psychological Society after studying psychology in my first degree.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
