I passionately believe that therapy should be a place where you can talk about your life and feelings freely and openly in a way that is rarely possible with friends or family. I provide a safe and confidential setting in which to do this. Therapy isn’t simply a matter of reliving painful or humiliating experiences, but of receiving help in making sense of them.
I have been working as a psychotherapist for 20 years and in that time I have gained a lot of experience in working with people with a wide range of issues including:- relationship issues, anxiety and depression, low self esteem, generalised anxiety disorder, eating disorders and bereavement issues. In addition, I have, over many years, developed an interest in understanding people's struggles with food and dieting and have helped people to take the first steps towards understanding their relationship to food.
I have a great deal of experience in working with individuals either using a short-term, time-limited approach (for example 6-10 sessions) or in a more open-ended way. We can discuss these options at our initial assessment session.
