I utilise both directive and child-led approaches, allowing the client to engage through their preferred medium, whether that be talking, play, art therapy, mindfulness, or creative activities. This versatile engagement helps me to understand the client's internal world and informs a holistic working model, designed to foster resilience and growth.
I am a qualified and experienced Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist. My integrative training, work experience, and expertise enable me to draw from various modalities, to provide a bespoke approach that adapts to the unique requirements of every client. My practice is grounded in the professional standards of the UKCP and BACP, ensuring the highest level of ethical care. At the heart of my practice is the creation of a safe, non-judgemental space where thoughts and feelings can be safely explored. I am a firm advocate for collaborative working, believing that partnering with therapists, parents, and other professionals is essential for meaningful progress. Using a relational and client-centred framework, I work closely with children, teenagers, and families to co-develop tailored intervention plans that empower the client to overcome emotional, social, and personal barriers and challenges.
I support a diverse demographic of clients navigating complex challenges, including attachment issues, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, trauma, and gender dysphoria. I previously worked administratively and with young people for over 13 years in the charitable sector. This experience enriched my cultural awareness and informs my inclusive approach to therapy today.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
