My approach is systemic so I’ll be listening very carefully to how things are for you now, and how that affects those you care about; your values and your interests. I hope to connect with you in a supportive way whilst inviting you to be curious about what’s been changing: what brings you to therapy. You may have noticed that you have developed a pattern of relating which does not work for you anymore. We can share ideas about how you might try new strategies to meet this challenge.
I work with many individuals, couples and adult families. I am experienced working with estranged families.
You can decide how many sessions you wish to have, and their frequency.
I am always interested to hear your feedback.
It can be daunting to start therapy. However I like to see it as a new conversation; between us as co-pilots.
Therapy can be enlightening, enabling….. even exciting!
Systemic psychotherapy offers the possibility of editing some of the past, and developing a renewed and more confident way of living. I aim to help you recover some of your abilities in relating to yourself and others.
I am a qualified accredited systemic, couple and family psychotherapist. In my part-time private practice I work with individuals, couples and family members and I provide systemic supervision for individuals and organisations.
I have many years of experience as a family and systemic psychotherapist in the public and independent sectors, the most recent of which was in an adult mental health service in the NHS.
At this time most of my work is online.
I have experience with most issues that challenge us over a lifetime including difficult intimate and/or family relationships, abuse, parenting, separation/divorce, employment troubles, bereavement, anxiety and depression, poor health and age related issues. To name but a few! Please feel free to contact me about any questions you might have about what I might help you with.
