As a Neuroscientist I have an extensive work experience in competitive international environments. I have conducted pioneering research projects in UCL on epilepsy, metallisation in body awareness, awareness of illness and interception. Along with my studies in Neuroscience and Councelling Psychology I became a trained neuropsychological and cognitive assessment provider.
As an Existential Psychotherapist I have a significant work experience within NHS, working with Stroke survivors and, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) patients on emotional resiliency and body dissatisfaction. In addition I have worked with Eating Disorder patients within NELFT and my private practice, providing an integrative approach to Eating Disorders.
My approach is Existentially Integrative. This involves techniques from CBT, the Intuitive Eating framework as well as mindfulness, breath work and somatic practices within an Existential therapy framework.
My mission is to help people deal with a broad range of challenges like relationship problems, anxiety and work-related stress and more specifically with issues around body image concerns, problematic relationship with food and body, and body dissatisfaction. Feelings like anxiety, anger and sadness may stem from how we relate to ourselves and others. However you may be feeling inside your body, you deserve the space to process it and give that relationship another chance. Together we will work on the anxiety around living in general or around eating and appearance. With the right support, you can transform how you feel about yourself as a whole.
Therapy for me is a journey to self-knowledge, acceptance, and choice that we can all embark on. I genuinely believe that no human being needs “fixing” as there is nothing broken about them. What my clients realise early on in their therapy journey is that the relationship they have with their bodies is an extension of the relationship they have with themselves as a whole. Once they start transforming that relationship into a more compassionate, loving one, they figure out this translates into how they move and feel inside their skin.
If you are still hesitant to get in touch, please note that I value flexibility in my work and respect that many of us run busy lives. Therefore, I offer a free discovery call to ensure we are a good fit. My working hours extend to weekends for those whose weekdays are very busy and I work both online and in person (North and North West London, Harley Street London, and Queen's Park NW6).
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
