My Approach

I embrace the person-centred approach in my psychotherapeutic practice, believing that if a safe psychotherapeutic relationship is established, clients may find it easier to listen to and accept themselves, and thus be able to make more genuinely fulfilling choices for themselves. I offer creative arts experience in psychotherapy, believing creative arts allow client to explore different levels of awareness and lead to healing and actualisation.

About Me

I am a person-centred psychotherapist. I hold an MSc in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy and Applications (awarded by Middlesex University) and a postgraduate Clinical Diploma in Contemporary Person-Centred Psychotherapy from the Metanoia Institute. Additionally, I completed a Two-Year Person-Centred Expressive Arts Certificate with Dr Natalie Rogers and Dr Sue Ann Herron at the Person-Centred Expressive Arts Institute in the United States. I also hold a BA (Hons) in Psychology and Counselling.

I have worked in counselling and psychotherapy since 2013 and began offering support to people touched by cancer and their families in 2018, focusing on end-of-life, loss and grief, self-regard, and self-acceptance. Most recently, I have been working as a university counsellor. I have experience in providing counselling and psychotherapy for students encountering various mental health challenges, relational issues, loss and grief, self-acceptance, and university adjustments. I offer psychotherapy in English and Cantonese.

As a psychotherapist incorporating expressive arts, I engage in art practices including Kintsugi, Ceramics, Nerikomi, Dance, and Harp. I presented my arts-based research project at the Association for Person Centred Creative Arts conference, titled 'Kintsugi: Mending the Fragments of the Memories'. Additionally, I have begun training in Harp Therapy under the International Harp Therapy Programme (Asia) to incorporate different creative arts elements into my expressive arts and psychotherapy practice.
