Hilary is a highly trained psychotherapeutic counsellor with extensive experience of working with a wide range of issues and age ranges. Alongside her private practice she is Director and Clinical Lead of a thriving community based charity in Oxfordshire that offers affordable counselling to young people and adults. The service has over 40 counsellors and psychotherpist who make up a strong community of practitioners. Hilary is also a Tutor at the Unversity of Oxford on the Postgraduate diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling which is part of the MSt program. She also supervises several counsellors both students and qualified therapists. Hilary has a Postgraduate diploma and Masters in Psychodynamic Practice from Oxford University and has undergone training in Brief Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy. She originally trained as a Registered Nurse and has worked both in the NHS as Clinical and Professional lead for GP Practice based counselling in Oxfordshire and in Education. Hilary's work is underpinned by a strong ethical code and believes that the therapeutic relationship is key to transformational change and being able to engage individuals in the process is fundamental to the way she work with clients.
