I know finding a therapist can feel daunting. It’s not always easy to navigate the jargon, know which approach is right for you, or sense who you might have a genuine connection with. I believe that because you are a unique and complex person, therapy works best when it is carefully tailored to you. I’m trained in various approaches so I can draw on a broad range of techniques and perspectives. How we work together will be based on your goals and preferences, what you are dealing with and how you are approaching life, today. Research shows working like this leads to better outcomes.
Our work might include practical techniques to address a specific issue. We might develop new ways to manage difficult thoughts and emotions. We might change unhelpful patterns that are getting in the way of your relationships. Or perhaps we'll help you get in touch with aspects of yourself you’ve been denying, so they stop showing up unexpectedly.
Whichever techniques we use, my aim is for you to feel valued and respected, and to help you make meaningful changes. My hope is that you leave therapy with the ability to be your own therapist, so you can continue to face life’s uncertainties with courage and compassion.
I am a fully accredited (UKCP) Integrative Psychotherapist and I am also in the final stage of a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy. I have 4 years’ clinical experience, having worked with clients in the NHS, seen fee paying clients through private organisations, provided workplace therapy and worked in charity settings. I am lucky to have worked with clients from 18 – 75+ and from many different backgrounds.
Before I became a psychotherapist I worked in advertising for 10 years, reaching a director level position. I understand the pressures and practicalities of demanding jobs and family life and do my best to reflect this in a down-to-earth approach to therapy. I really love being a therapist and being trusted to support people to live better is a huge privilege.
Modalities I have trained in: -

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
