My Approach

I offer a safe and confidential space in which you can bring any issue for careful and compassionate exploration. I am a sensitive and experienced listener and my approach is to work collaboratively in order to gain greater understanding and awareness of who you are and your individual needs. I believe that with increased self-awareness and acceptance we are able to make better choices in life. This is a valuable and interesting journey – but not always an easy one. With collaboration and support, however, it can be travelled and offers profound benefit for you.

I am a fully qualified and accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with 10 years of experience. I chose to train in an Integrative approach, which enables me to draw upon a broad range of theories in the process of therapy. I value this flexibility, as we are all different and my training means I can be responsive to individual needs and circumstances. I am also trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1&2). In this approach I can help you develop an inner relationship with different parts of yourself. It's a compassionate and integrating process that sits well with my initial training which is holistic, seeing us as interrelated wholes. In my humanistic and relational approach I encourage you to co-create your therapeutic space with me.

Sometimes words can be difficult, and a different approach can greatly aid expression and experience. I am able to offer a creative approach in therapy and draw upon my artistic background to offer this. This is never imposed and only offered in response to need.

I offer one-to-one brief or long-term therapy for adults. I am currently seeing clients face to face and online. My practise rooms are in central Norwich in Bethel St. and in Briston, North Norfolk.

It’s important to find the therapist that you ‘click’ with and I am happy to connect via phone or email to answer any questions you may have. I also offer an initial appointment at a reduced rate. Please feel welcome to make an enquiry without obligation.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have an integrative and relational approach to supervision. I aim to provide a holding space for you to explore your client's and anything else that impacts you and your work. I understand the importance of supervision being a safe, non judgemental place where you can bring the challenges you may be having as well as celebrating positive breakthroughs. We will work collaboratively to delve into the nuances of your clients, your practise and this work. I am passionate about supervision being a nourishing and fruitful experience. After nearly 10 years of my own practise I have many resources to draw upon. My creative approach influences my work and my more recent trainings in Internal Family Systems flavour my approach. IFS is a compassionate and validating way to explore internal relationships to a multiplicity of parts which exist within us all. I am happy to have a brief conversation on the phone or zoom for any questions you may have. Fees - £60/£80 for 60/90 minutes
