I am a Humanistic Integrative Arts Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor and therapeutic consultant . I am qualified to work with adults, young people and children. It is my core belief that a therapist journeys alongside their clients to support the growth of the therapeutic relationship to enable self exploration and curiosity in the most compassionate and emotionally containing way to enable, this increases the opportunity for each individual to reach their own human potential.
I qualified and registered as a Integrative Arts Psychotherapist in 2002. I have had the privilege of a rich career working within statutory mental health and social care services and the 3rd sector. I now have an independent practice . Currently I live and work in the Isle of Man. I offer psychotherapy and clinical supervision both face to face and via zoom.
I am passionate about supporting people to feel as happy and safe in the world as possible. My experience has been that the combination of humanistic talking therapy alongside the use of metaphor and image can be very supportive and empowering.
Understanding how our feelings thoughts, and behaviours can manifest and impact on our wellbeing can enable a deeper understanding and more compassionate attitude to self. This in turns brings about the opportunity for sustained healing and recovery.
I believe in trying to reach a healthy balance in life ,which includes paying attention to and supporting our emotional wellbeing, mental and physical health as well as work, social and family relationships.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
