I am a Humanistic Integrative Arts Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor . I am qualified to work with adults, young people and children. It is my core belief that a therapist journeys alongside the clients to support the of a grow therapeutic relationship to enable self exploration and curiosity in the most compassionate and emotionally containing way to enable the opportunity for each individual to reach their own human potential.
I qualified and registered as a Integrative Arts Psychotherapist in 2002. I have had the privilege of a rich career working within statutory mental health and social care services and the 3rd sector as well as having a small private practice. Currently I live and work in the Isle of Man. I offer psychotherapy and clinical supervision both face to face and via zoom.
I am passionate about supporting people to feel as happy and safe in the world as possible. My experience has been that integrating the use of the arts along side humanistic talking therapy can be very supportive and empowering.
Understanding how our feelings thoughts, and behaviours can manifest and impact on our wellbeing can enable a deeper understanding and more compassionate attitude to self. This in turns brings about the opportunity for sustained healing and recovery.
I believe trying to reach a healthy balance in life ,which includes paying attention to and supporting our emotional wellbeing, mental and physical health as well as work, social and family relationships.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
