I've been working for almost 19 years now as a Gestalt Psychotherapist. I described my approach as relational and attuned in a body-centred, trauma-informed way. I also work with the voice and how you find your unique, authentic expression of yourself.
I attend to how you shape your understanding in the here and now experience;. I look out for any repeating patterns which are now no longer useful to you and may be creating difficulties in your relationships with others. I attend to the non-verbal and how you hold and embody your thoughts and emotions e.g. breathing patterns, muscle tension. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist is key to healing. As such I work relationally in a carefully attuned way. My approach is creative and experiential.
I am an experienced Gestalt psychotherapist working face-to-face and online.
I offer EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. i also offer an expressive arts based approach with a particular emphasis on voicework.
I'm a trainer at the Gestalt Centre and I offer supervision to trainees as well as experienced counsellors and psychotherapists. I'm a Gestalt Centre and Metanoia Approved Supervisor and on the Supervisor's list for the Arts Institute for Therapy and Education. I also sit on Viva panels at Metanoia Institute.
Currently I work in private practice and as a supervisor at Women and Girls Network and Jewish Women's Aid.
Previously I have worked as
