My approach incorporates thinking from psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy, somatic psychology, and EMDR.
I am a friendly, approachable, experienced Psychotherapist (UCKP) and Psychologist (HCPC) based in West London. For online work, you will need a quiet space - indoors or out - where you can have privacy. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to psychotherapy and my approach varies to suit individuals. I am committed to a culturally-sensitive and ethical way of working.
At the heart of effective psychotherapy is a supportive, open and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Sudden life events can create high anxiety or a sense of disconnection from everyday life. It may feel important to find ways of reconnecting with what really matters to you, setting yourself some realistic goals to take you forward. Different perspectives on life will give your a renewed sense of energy and self-worth.
I have worked effectively with anxiety and generalised anxiety disorder, depression, bereavement, loss of meaning in life, relationship difficulties, stress at work, depression and sadness, low self-esteem, anger, self-doubt, life transitions (such as retirement), redundancy, body issues, trauma and abuse, family estrangement, personality disorders, addictions and phobias.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
