My Approach

I work with multiple therapeutic approaches such as Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Transpersonal, Body Orientated, Gestalt and Existential, tailoring the therapeutic process to each individual client’s need.

Traumatic events and adverse situations in life can leave us with feelings of despair, pain, loneliness, shame, guilt, loss, dissatisfaction and many other feelings that move us away from our true selves, inner gifts and potentialities.

Looking for help and support can be a daunting experience. You will be seen, listened to and emotionally held in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment.

Allowing ourselves to express pain, vulnerability, anger, needs and desires freely, enables our bodies, mind and soul to detox from old patterns that no longer serve us and gives space for new and healthy patterns to emerge.

We will work together by exploring the obstacles and issues that are impeding you from having a more authentic and fulfilling life.

About Me

I am Gustavo, a transpersonal integrative psychotherapist, an EMDR therapist and a relationship therapist based in London. I see individuals and couples face to face and remotely.

Prior to becoming a counsellor and psychotherapist I worked for several years years in the advetising and creative industry. This experience of working in an often high pressure environment has let me to develop a particular interest in boundaries and the need to develop a holistic balance between professional and personal lives.

As a multi ethnic foreign living in the UK for several years I have personally experienced feelings of otherness and the need to belong. These experiences have enabled me to deepen my therapeutic skills working with clients from different cultures, ethnic and religious groups and gender diversity.

I work with

  • Couples
  • Individuals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Coming from a different culture and trying to fit in a new cultural norm can be, at times, an overwhelming experience. Talking openly about about cross - cultural issues helps us to understand ourselves better and promotes a better interaction with other cultures.
Sexuality is a big part of our lives as it shapes who we are, who we identify with and how our personal relationships are conducted. Religious and cultural dogmas can be castrating and disempowering when we don't fit in the box. Being able to explore freely our sexuality in a safe and trustworthy environment helps to develop feelings of self love and self acceptance, leading us to a happier and more fulfilled life.
