I offer long term, open ended Jungian analysis/psychotherapy to adults and draw upon the insights of psychoanalysis and Jungian analytical psychology in my work.
My aim is to offer a safe, confidential space in which current difficulties may be thought about and their roots, whether in the present or past, understood.
Psychotherapy is first and foremost, a relationship, and I work in such a way as to use what happens in the I-Thou relationship as a means of understanding current difficulties; for instance, a person coming for therapy for the first time may be fearful that the therapist will be critical; by exploring these 'here and now' dynamics, the individual may gain an increased awareness into her or his inner processes.
I also work with dreams, as these potentially offer a valuable means of getting in touch with inner processes of which the individual may not be conscious.
I work from my consulting room in Shrewsbury, and would be pleased to hear from you and respond to any questions you may have.
