About Me

As a trained Family and Systemic Psychotherapist I am registered with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and AFT (Association of Family Therapy) as an Approved Supervisor. Both organisations have websites, where my practice details are available for view.

I practice independently as a part-time Psychotherapist, Supervisor and trainer, and have over 35 years of professional experience of working therapeutically with people, previously in the NHS, and independent practice since 2011.

Consistently, I witness a richness for working collaboratively with people to (re)utilize resources and strengths available both within and outside our realms; inviting clients to consider different perspectives and positions with matters which they seek support. In this way, my therapeutic approach respects the systems and contexts that people live within; working either with individuals, couples or the whole family to invite greater understanding of each other and develop new possibilities to talk and listen with each other.

My experience of practice and training has contributed to a therapeutic style and approach that reflects a dialogical and relational approach with the many layers of human adaptions in life. When attempting to co-create new opportunities for positive change, I believe it important to consider the influence of multiple perspectives to dilemmas, respecting the challenges, potential resources and resilience people bring.
