About Me

As an experienced integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, I offer you support when you struggle with life challenges and you feel vulnerable. I then help you find your more secure way of living. I shape my therapy to suit your unique needs, working short or long term. Please contact me to discuss your needs - text or email is best as a first contact.

I work with many issues, including – loss, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety, self-worth, stress, addiction, serious medical diagnosis, difficulties conceiving, relationship difficulties and breakdown, divorce, gender and identity.

I work with multi-cultural challenges and different cultural norms, given the growth of globalisation. I have lived in different cultures. My client base is culturally diverse. Having also had a lot of experience in the working world, I can help you build or rebuild your resourcefulness and sense of self worth to be employed, re-employed or self-employed. If you are in work, I can help you build resilience to manage the challenges of a 24/7 working world.

I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy, a Diploma in Integrative Psychodynamic Counselling. I am also a fully qualified EMDR therapist and clinical supervisor. I am insured.

I work with

  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

We learn how to be in relationship at our parent(s) or primary carer(s) knee. It is important that I understand those early relationships in order for us to work effectively in our therapeutic relationship. My aim is for us to develop a bond of trust so that our therapeutic relationship becomes the tool of change.
Most, if not all, mental health challenges have their roots in early relationships and in the traumas every single one of us experience at some point in our lives. Unprocessed big or small trauma(s) in our developmental years are taken into adulthood but can be processed through hard therapeutic work which may include some EMDR. Unprocessed big or small traumas in adulthood can also be similarly processed - sometimes more easily if there is no underlying unprocessed developmental trauma. Clients often do not know what in their childhood might be significant and unprocessed. My aim is for us to discover what needs therapeutic attention and then to process that. Because most mental health challenges have roots in relationship and trauma I do not need to refer to any other special interests I have.
