About Me

Gillie Jenkinson (MA) is a Director of Hope Valley Counselling Limited. She specialises in (and her passion is) working with survivors of spiritual abuse and cults. She also works with psychological, sexual and physical abuse and other client issues. She is a trained supervisor. She is a trainer and international speaker on cultic issues and is a published author. She co-authored a chapter, 'Pathological Spirituality' in 'Spirituality and Psychiatry' with Dr. Nicola Crowley in 2009.
Gillie is a doctoral researcher on a PhD programme at the University of Nottingham investigating 'What helps former cult members recover from an abusive cult experience?'. Her submission date is September 2015.
