My Approach

Hello and welcome. I am a Relational, Multicultural, Multilingual Integrative Psychotherapist. My therapeutic approach draws from relational, humanistic, and psychodynamic traditions. I believe that both your past and present experiences are essential in shaping who you are today. In our work together, we will gently explore and process any life challenges that may be holding you back from living more fully and authentically.

I deeply value your culture, environment, and unique identity, while also recognising shared human experiences. Embracing diversity and difference is at the heart of my practice. I work cross-culturally with individuals from a wide range of ethnic, linguistic, and religious backgrounds, offering culturally sensitive and inclusive therapy. I have rich experience working within both Western and Eastern cultural contexts—including private practice, rehabilitation settings, and with minoritised and marginalised communities.

As a multilingual therapist, I am able to offer therapy in English, Pashto, and Urdu. I recognise the profound connection between language and identity, and understand how communicating in your mother tongue can offer deeper emotional expression and comfort within the therapeutic process.

I work in a trauma-informed way, with care, sensitivity, and attunement to your pace. Whether you are dealing with recent or historical trauma, I aim to create a grounded, safe space where you can begin to process difficult emotions without fear of judgment or retraumatisation. I pay close attention to how trauma and identity intersect—particularly for those navigating cultural expectations, generational patterns, migration experiences, or feelings of not belonging.

When we begin therapy, we will explore the concerns or difficulties that have brought you here. I offer a warm, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you can speak freely. Through attentive listening, thoughtful questions, and shared reflections, I aim to support you in finding clarity, meaning, and self-understanding.

I recognise that building trust can feel daunting. That’s why I prioritise creating a safe and affirming therapeutic relationship where you feel truly heard. I offer weekly sessions in-person, online, or by telephone—flexibly tailored to suit your needs.

If you’re considering therapy, I invite you to a free 15-minute initial consultation. This is an opportunity for us to explore what brings you to psychotherapy and whether we feel that working together would be the right fit for you.
